Interactive Math Lessons
There are four sets of lessons: Understanding Percent, Number Theory, Circumference and Area of Circles, and Perimeter & Area of Polygons.
Lessons on Integers are promised soon. Each lesson explains the basics of its topic and provides interactive practice. These excellent teaching pages, from the Website called Mrs. Glosser's Math Goodies, provide explanations that are, like mathematics, crisp and beautiful. Here is an example:
"If you measure the distance around a circle and divide it by the distance across the circle through its center, you will always come close to a particular value, depending upon the accuracy of your measurement. This value is approximately 3.14159265358979323846... We use the Greek letter Pi to represent this value. Using computers, mathematicians have been able to calculate the value of to thousands of places."
